SUPERFAN is an actor, in MAMMA MIA! at Pentacle Theatre in Salem, Oregon, directed by Robert Salberg (the object of my SUPERFANDOM for over 10 years) and Jill Sorensen (we go way back also). My participatory Journalism project has moved from fantasy to the stage--tonight is opening night of MAMMA MIA! at Treasure of Salem, OR, Pentacle Theatre! We FANS have FANtasies. I dream of performing as a rock star, acting on stage, or hitting a homerun in the World Series. As a child, I read the book Paper Lion by George Plimpton. The author detailed his experiences going through NFL training camp, and actually playing a series as quarterback in a preseason game.
